If you want to see all the locations of a butterfly species on a map, it is easy at the Vermont Atlas of Life. Just go to the home page and type in the name of the butterfly in the search box. For example, try West Virginia White. You will get a table with the species and under Occurrence and Images lists the number. Click on those numbers and it takes you to a map of occurrences you can play with and explore, or click on images to see all the images that have been submitted.
