I have a request! If eButterfly had a monthly competition each month for a specific species of butterfly that would be fun! Users could compete each month to collect the most observations of the butterfly that was chose each month. Just a thought.

That is an excellent idea @Jakesymonds. The first competition we plan to have is a “Best Photo of the Day” competition. Where photos with most likes on our #photo-of-the-day section once the butterflying season is done, will be the winner.
I will bring your proposal to the table as well. Although we definitively will do it, it might take a fair amount of planning to make either location-specific competitions (quite intensive work), or choosing a butterfly species that can be easily found anywhere. suggestions are more than welcome!
